Contemplate God’s Creation And Experience Rest For Your Soul On The Grounds Of An Ancient Monastery
Falcon Lake Retreat Center is an off-the grid retreat nestled in one of the lovely bays at the end of Falcon Lake, Manitoba.
A wonderful site of Whiteshell history and natural beauty, the retreat center is the only property on a bay of clear water framed by pine trees and rocks. One hundred years ago, monks lived, worked and worshipped on this site. Today, the lodge provides accommodation for 14 guests with overflow cots and tenting space available. Awe-inspiring scenery and opportunities for personal reflection and healthy lifestyle activities make this rustic and natural site a place of retreat and renewal for families and small groups.
Falcon Lake Retreat Center is in a serene location in which to indulge in lake time pleasures such as swimming, canoeing, skiing, barbequing, fishing, hiking, reading, relaxing, stargazing.
Renewal
Our sacred spaces and majestic wilderness can enhance your personal or group retreat experiences.
The wilderness setting invites contemplation, the lodge is set up for group activities, and the grounds provide opportunities for hiking and exploration.
The lodge is spacious and comfortable, and ideal for small group bookings. Accessible in summer only by boat, the site provides a unique experience of recreation, retreat and renewal.
Amenities on the site include four bedrooms with two queen-sized beds, four single beds and two double bed bunk beds. Guests will supply their own bedding; extra pillows and sheets will be available. The kitchen is large and bright. Meals can be prepared indoors on a propane stove, or outdoors on gas barbeques or firepits.
The Great Room that overlooks the bay has couches, chairs, small tables, and a bookshelf with books and board games. The 20 foot dock is ideal for mooring a boat and for fishing. There are three canoes and lifejackets for guest use and a small sandy beach good for wading and swimming.
